As you know, our Convention is fast approaching, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you in great numbers. In addition to the previous memo, we have some additional information to share with you.
Special Afternoon Q & A Session with Dave Foley (Thursday, October 15, 2026)
As has been the case for a few years, in addition to the 8 p.m. presentation on Thursday evening, we have asked our main keynote to offer an afternoon session for a limited number of participants. We are pleased to announce that international comedy icon Dave Foley will offer a Q & A session on Thursday, October 15 between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Spaces are limited to 50 participants on a “first come, first served” basis. Once your registration is confirmed, please come prepared with your questions for Dave Foley.
Registration will open Monday, September 28, 2026, at 7 p.m.

Pre-Convention Workshops – Deadline to sign up is Thursday, October 1, 2026
Please note that you have until October 1st to register for our very interesting pre-convention activities. Notably, we strongly encourage NEW TEACHERS to sign up for the full-day workshop entitled Rethinking Conflict-Meeting Today’s Challenges Differently, which takes place on Thursday, October 15 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Bonaventure Hotel Room Reservations – Deadline Is September 29, 2026
As is the case every year, we have requested an extension of the deadline for hotel reservations, allowing QPAT members to benefit from the negotiated rate. We arepleased to inform you that the deadline to place a reservation is now Tuesday, September 29th.
QPAT’s Convention Social
As is customary, a social event will be held at the Hotel Bonaventure on Thursday evening (October 15th), following the keynote presentation. Our social will feature the band SUGARSTAR and DJ Akin. Interesting presence prizes will be distributed during the evening. We hope that that this year’s Convention is a great success for all attendees!
