Teachers (aka the heroic Rebellion) will be joining forces to let the government (aka the Empire) know that they are rising up against the oppression of false forums and that a new path in true negotiations must be followed.
At the heart of this negotiation is classroom composition. This has a direct impact on the everyday lives of teachers and students alike, particularly when looking at the student learning profiles and the number of IEP plans. Teachers are responsible to ensure that students learn, but this can only happen when support is given to take care of all the additional issues that detract from that learning.
To establish healthy class composition, the following must be considered:
● The number of students in preschool groups
● The number of students with special needs
● The number of students with an IEP
“Do or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda
The government keeps saying that education is a priority. We are demanding that the government stop “trying” whatever idea pops into its head and start doing what teachers, the experts, know will work.
The QPAT Rebellion will be meeting on May the 4th. You are welcome to join us as we embark on this difficult journey, sending a clear message to the government. By joining forces, we are all reminded that we are not alone in our battles: the power of the Force is within us all and ultimately will help lead the Rebellion to victory!
