On November 29, Let’s Stand Together For Our Syndical Rights!

In less than a year, the CAQ government has passed a multitude of laws that attack teachers’ rights and their unions.

• Law 89 restricts your right to strike;

• Law 100 eliminates your local negotiations;

• Law 94 silences you under a code of ethics;

• Law 47 brings the discipline of teachers directly to the Ministry;

• And recently Bill 3 was tabled, which attacks unions’ rights to democratic political discourse and violates our rights as private, independent organizations run by you, the members.

The centralization of power, the erosion of democracy, and the imposition of punitive systems are characteristic of US-style politics and the Americanisation of the world of work, leading to increased social and economic inequalities.
